PhD-Student Position in Immunology-Allergology-Swiss
A PhD-student position in the area of immunology-Allergology is available at the Department of Rheumatology, Clinical Immunology and Allergology, division of Allergology, University of Bern. The research project deals with immunological and molecular mechanisms of drug hypersensitivity. In particular we aim at eliciting the mechanism how drugs stimulate T cells and thus cause drug hypersensitivity. We generate drug specific T cell lines and clones generated from healthy individuals as well as drug hypersensitive patients. In addition to common cellular/biological techniques, technical approaches will include transfection of T cell receptors, FACS analysis, ELISPOT and ELISA techniques as well as Ca++ influx assays.
