Dear Sir,

I want to make enquiries about the Ph.D programme in Banking & Finance, University of Stirling. I hold a B.Sc. and M.sc. Accounting degrees from University of Ilorin, Nigeria. I am also a Ph.D (Finance) student in Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago – Iwoye, Nigeria. I was converted to the Ph.D programme from M.Phil (i.e.M.Phil/Ph.D programme). I started the M.Phil/Ph.D programme in 2004/2005 academic session.

I have presented all the required seminar papers and have been waiting to present my Ph.D proposal since November, 2008. Till date, because of a national strike that lasted about three months and other internal problems in the University, it is not certain how long I have to wait again before I would be allowed to present my proposal.

The topic of my proposal is ”INFORMATION ASYMMETRY ON EQUITY PRICING IN AN EMERGING ECONOMY – EVIDENCE FROM NIGERIA”. The proposal is fully developed for presentation.

Sir, I want to know if your University can accomodate me to continue the programme with her as a full time student.

I work presently with Bank of Industry, Lagos, Nigeria as the Head of Internal Control & Audit Division. I have also taught full time in two Universities in Nigeria before I left as Lecturer 1 in 1997. I have 19 years of full time and unbroken working experience.

I would appreciate your kind advice.
